Built in the 17th-c., facing the sea, the site was long invincible, then much coveted and born again as a pleasure dwelling.
After being restored several times, in 1997, the site with its ocean and seaspray setting became a very special hotel, even a type never seen before.
The austere 17th-c. fort, patient sentinel over the "Wild Coast", conceals an unsuspected universe.
Today, its walls shelter treasures refinement and life's finer things.
